Atelier: Ethnographic Inquiry in the Twenty-First Century is a book series in anthropology with the University of California Press. The series takes a ground-up approach to the acquisition and publication of new ethnographic works. The aim is to set the conditions for collaboration at each stage of a book’s development, from the earliest draft through publication. At its most fundamental. this series sets out to curate a cohort of scholars committed to the idea that ethnographic writing is itself a form of intellectual work. Those interested in submitting to the series should email materials no later than June 1 of each year to kevin.oneill@utoronto.ca. An Atelier announcement is available here, and an interview about the series is available here.
